The Wakely Road shared path goes between Spenmoor Street/Lyndfield Lane in Newlands and Centennial Highway in Ngauranga.
We've upgraded the path to make it safer and easier for people walking and biking. This provides a better connection from the north to the central city and, in the future, with the region's wider cycle network.
The shared path was completed in February 2020.
The feedback period on proposed traffic changes (traffic resolutions) for this project was July to August 2017.
Councillors approved the proposal in late 2017.
