The Associate Minister of Transport, Hon Julie Anne Genter, and Wellington Deputy Mayor Sarah Free, cut the ribbon to officially open the Hutt Road paths. They also unveiled one of Wellington's new bike counter signs.

Work to widen the bridge over the Kaiwharawhara Stream is under way. Weather permitting, the work should be complete by the end of October.

Construction on the walking and biking paths is now complete - except for widening the Kaiwharawhara bridge. The timing for this work is reliant on Mobil moving their fuel pipes (under the bridge) which are used to refuel the Cook Strait ferries. We hope the work will get under way in the first half of 2019.
